Mr. Black joined I&R in August 2018, bringing his knowledge of field research methods, Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping experience, and operational management skills to the team. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Sonoma State University in 2013, focusing on geospatial techniques. While attending SSU, an internship conducting mapping research for the head of the geography department sparked his interest in field research. Since joining the I&R team, Mr. Black has conducted many noise measurements, as well as participating in extensive hydroacoustic monitoring and road noise projects.
